‘Words Can Never Hurt Me’

Words that burned even the devils tongue
Etched onto the inside of your skull
Nuclear clouds over the horizon
Spiting rain as deadly as poison
Plumes of smoke rise above the earth
Hidden volcanoes errupt blistering rebirth
Swollen wings stitched onto a skeletal back
Faltering, stuttering as swarms attack
Rivers run red, carved from mountains in the mind
Tears never shed, pool by the roadside
Monsters in your ears and a pounding in your head
Emphasising what more there is to dread

Forever Overthinking.
