A Compassionate Death

Is this the death of compassion,

Chasing the Devil; a fatal attraction?

Battling demons inside and our

Heartstrings withered from eternal drought

Thirsty for blood, society unifies

As slowly we rot and dehumanise

Volcanic hearts lust for more,

An inferno rages beginning of war

Perpetual starvation blackens the Earth

Dormant bodies beg for rebirth

Is this the death of compassion,

As people suffer for our satisfaction?
